Food 08-25-10 pt2

So after all those healthy items I was a little hungry...big surprise

I ate pasta and sauce with the family..went much lighter on the sauce and denied myself the bread and butter for sopping I would normally get.  We all used light sauce as well...

The kids make a mess and we end up stirring the sauce into the pasta so its a teensy bit.  I did that for myself as well to limit the amount of waste and sauce used at the same time.

It was not a balanced meal since that was it...better then nothing.

I then had 2 chicken pot pies to finish the night...they are over 500 cals each and I really should not eat 2 at a time but I spaced them out about 90 mins apart

Truth be told I had 3 cooked just because.  I am saving the other one for tomorrow.  I thought they would be filling, but I miss my hummus and cauliflower florets I think.

I am going to have a sweet snack for bed, I think a pear and some pineapple will do nicely!
Plus 3-4 more cups of water..I have not been tracking it, but we have some 32oz cups I fill at home and a 24oz bottle I carry with me in the car..I had 4 glasses of water and 2 bottles today..at least a gallon and I am still thirsty right now!  Not really thirsty..but I will drink 2-3c more with my dessert

Food 08-25-10

I had been packing lunches the last few days, but I decided to mix it up today and eat at work.

I still only drank water, but I had breakfast and lunch @ JJ's

They tasted the same to me really.  The swapping of dijon for OV is not a surprising change..it brings lots of bad things to the party...both were over 1000mg of salt though

They were the easy way today..and really that is not too bad

Workout 8-25-10

With all I just said about exercise..I did some this morning.

I thought I would just do Insantiy since it was closest to my hands and I like the idea most.
SO..
I started at the Fit Test...I have suffered through it before.

I made it 11:37 into a 90 min item before my heart rate hit 185+
That is bad, and I needed to stop...I need to condition to condition it seems

I need to walk and jog to guess..time to man up!

So...this Exercise thing

Is a huge pain in the ass.  I am out of shape, no doubt about it.  I am 5' 7" and weigh almost 250lbs.  I am not going to be able to do tons at the start..but I thought it would be better then this.

I have Insanity, Zumba, and several other workout dvds.  The issue with those is space and time really.  I may be making excuses, but I have not been able to work through the learning curve.

I will find something..I must

This is going to be hard

So... I need to give the exercise thing more effort. I have Insanity, but I am too far out to start there.

My neighbor has P90X that they will let me borrow, I may go that route... I also have a copy of Zumba downstairs.

Time to sleep, exercise is going to wait until tomorrow

And Now...

My Doc wants me to lose some weight (me too!)
My goal is 60 lbs...That puts me at 185ish, but they say you should only lose 5% max of body weight per month...so something like
244-12.2lbs=231.8
231.8-11.59=220.21
220.21-11.01=209.2

So when I go back in 90 days, best case scenario is a weight of 209lbs.

I need to eat better and do more physical activity.
We shall see

So Its Been a Year, and ...

I went a long time without posting. Guess what that means? I did not lose any weight, in fact I gained about 15lbs in a year!

Who is surprised by that? Not me at least.
But, there have been some changes that are not bad. I got 5 teeth removed on 8-12-10....I feel great for that, I have not healed 100%, but I can eat normally and whatever I want without fear of mouth pain.

I did go to a Dr on 8-19, not so good. They did blood work and the whole nine yards:
I am 5' 7 1/4" tall..I thought I was taller then that, honestly
I weigh 244 lbs...no fractions on the Dr scale, but I checked my own scale against it before leaving and I was 244.4 then. I will go with it

The majority of blood work was normal, which is good. No thyroid problems, diabetes, liver normal.

The issue: Cholesterol
Mine was/is:
242 Overall
249 Triglycerides
34 HDL
158 LDL

So, we have some work to do

This is it...not the good way either

I remeber when I thought I looked like that. Just a little pudgy. No longer, I weigh 244.4 lbs on my home scale. That is an increase of almost 5lbs since Apr.

I am starting to correct some dental issues that are overdue. This should help me do away with excuses for eating poorly. Now I just need exercise and I should be headed down the correct path.
